Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Naibedya's pure A2 Ghee, our process, and how we deliver sacred nourishment to your home.

Naibedya Ghee is made from 100% pure A2 cow milk, sourced from free-grazing Gir cows. We use the traditional Bilona method — hand-churning curd to extract butter, then slow-cooking it over a wood fire to produce the purest ghee.

The Bilona method is an ancient Ayurvedic process where whole milk is first set into curd, then hand-churned using a wooden bilona (churner). The makkhan (butter) is then slow-cooked to create ghee. This process retains all the natural nutrients and produces a rich, granular texture.

Yes! During the Bilona process, milk solids (including lactose and casein) are completely removed. Naibedya Ghee is pure clarified butterfat and is generally well-tolerated by people with lactose sensitivity.

Store your ghee in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. There's no need to refrigerate it — pure ghee has a long shelf life at room temperature. Always use a clean, dry spoon to scoop ghee.

Naibedya Ghee has a shelf life of 12 months from the date of manufacture when stored properly. Pure ghee actually improves with age according to Ayurvedic tradition.
